Lyrics of The Creek
I watch the creek as it slowly flows
It speaks to
me as if it knows
All the questions that are in my mind
The answers to
which it helps me find
It's out in the country on an old farm
It flows
between a pasture and an old barn
Big it is not, It's just a small stream
Just sitting and listening always helps me dream
One time in the water as
I did stare
The reflection of a young maiden with long golden hair
Her
eyes shining like diamonds, her complexion so fare
When I turned to greet her
she was not there
Many times I've returned to the creek since that day
To search for answers to guide my way
When I realized one day I will not, I
will be gone
But the creek is ageless and will forever live on
