Lyrics of Duct Tape Blues
Morning found me calmly unaware
My head in a fog
I could feel a stare
Sitting in the corner of my living room
Looking at me
with a peaceful gloom
Neglected and in desperate need of repair
Was my
well worn but faithful old easy chair
I spent that morning repairing the
upholstery
When out of the blue I had an epiphany
The heavens were singing
My soul was set free
Without Duct Tape
Where would I be
Looking
drab and gray it's ready for war
Hiding in the back of my old junk drawer
It's uses are endless, so the saying goes
To patch a leaky water pipe or a
garden hose
Just one roll will go really really far
To seal a cracked
wind shield
On any make of car
No doubt about it, it's a very handy
tool
Fixing holes in worn work gloves
Or plastic swimming pools
I
use it to hold together my old work shoes
And when I run out
I get the
Duct Tape blues
But I can always go, go out and find more
There's
always plenty in my hardware store
To the left way in back in aisle number
four
And it's so cheap it's almost free
Without Duct Tape
Where
would we be
Without Duct Tape
Where would we be
Where would we be
Where would we be
Without Duct Tape
Where would we be (I don't know)
