Lyrics of Courage
As I watched you walk along the shore the other morn
It was the start of
another beautiful day
I wanted to speak to you but I felt so forlorn
Because I could not think of anything to say
As I watched you walk
through the park that same day
It was just a little before noon
Memories
came back as the band began to play
Sure enough it was our favorite tune
But I just sat there on a picnic table
I let you go on your merry care
free way
I wanted so badly to come over and talk to you
But I could not
think of anything to say
I tried to find the courage
But the courage
was so hard to find
Got to pull myself together, stand tall and strong
I
got to speak what's on my mind
I saw you in the theater last night
Way
back in the very last row
All I wanted to do was to talk to you
And be
together while we watched the show
But like a coward I ducked out the
exit
Before the credits began to play
I knew I was going to regret it
But I just couldn't think of anything to say
Well.......I finally found
the courage
Though the courage was so hard to find
I managed to pull
myself together
And tomorrow I would say what's on my mind
As I waited
for you to walk along the shore that morn
It was the start of another
beautiful day
I knew I would find some piece of mind
Because I no longer
felt empty and so forlorn
My heart was filled with a happiness
I felt
a joy I thought would never end
I felt life was worth living for
And that
you would be my very best friend
But strange things happen
in this
big old world
You never came around anymore
Now I must work up the
courage
And face the fact
I may never see you again
I may never see you
again
I may never see you again
