A Touch of Yesteryear

The community of Jordan is nestled in the scenic valley of the Minnesota River 20 miles southwest of the Twin Cities. Jordan is described as the "best of both worlds" ...a small town atmosphere near metropolitan attractions. Jordan offers excellent public and parochial schools, civic and religious organizations, antique shops, and a proud German heritage that is celebrated each fall at the Heimatfest Festival.

Residents find it easy to get involved and make new friends in Jordan through such civic organizations as the Lions Club, Commercial Club, and Jordan Arts Council. Churches in the community include Hope Lutheran, St. John's Catholic, St. Paul's Lutheran, and Jordan Methodist.
